I have a few questions concerning articles...
Could you help me with the following sentences?

(at the end of a letter to a person renting a flat, we haven't mentioned the word 'lease' before):
Please let me know when we could meet to sing a/the lease.

I entered the shop and wanted to talk to a/the manager.

I want to talk to a/the manager!

You don't have to buy a newspaper. The/A newspaper carrier brings it every day.

I know that our party prevented you from writing a/the master's thesis.

Thank you!

I don't understand this either, unless the party went on for months and months! Maybe you mean,
"I know that our party prevented you from working on your thesis"?
