When I look in the mirror
What do I see?
Do I see a young girl?
Do I see the blonde hair, rosy cheeks?
Do I look for more, some substance, some purpose?
Do I see the hardships, pain, sorrow
Deep in those blue eyes?
Do I see the joy of my life, the friends, the family?
Do I see the future bright and clear?
*Look deep now!
Fear not!
Go deeper than appearance!
There is strength in those eyes,
A will of iron and steel,
A softness, a kind but blatant honesty.
I see the life I made,
The life I live, the good the bad,
The choices that have led me here.
I know I will be strong.
I hope I will be good.
For in myself I see
The will of ages past,
The hope for ages future.
I look in the mirror
And I see Myself.
And I am free.

i cant decide which i like better so heres a different option for after the starred line:
*Do I see kindness,
Good will toward man?
Do I see knowledge,
A chance to cause a change?
Do I see the past,
Remember it always?
Do I see hope,
Faith that tomorrow will shine?
Do I see strength,
Calm and cool?
Do I see confidnce,
in those eyes of mine,
A plan, a purpose, a dream?
When I look behind thoses eyes of mine,
I see Myself,
And I believe.

heres another one:
The Court
A flash of action
A change
A win or loss
The hype
A towering build
Live up
A chance to prove
The will
A strength
A victory or defeat
The motion
Swift
Graceful
Light
The knowledge
Confident
Calculated
Life
Yourself
Live it.

Behind your blue eyes
There is a sea of nightmares
A paradise lost of happiness
You couldn't find.

Behind your blue eyes
There is a child looking for a cloud
where an angel told him a lie.

Behind your blue eyes
There is the sadness of a woman
who thought of you as her man.

Behind those blue eyes
There is someone
I saw in a bar
I couldn't find.
Thats a good poem Maj.

Hello,

Far, faraway, I see a half open door, and through that half open door, in the pale evening light shed through an open window, I see you standing in front of a mirror. Your golden hair flowing down over your shoulders, and in the reflection of those deep blue eyes, I see the promise of the better days. The shadow of a faint smile runs over your lips, and I think to myself what is a poem, if not a cutaway from the stripe of time, if not an instant eternalized.
I like your poem. Cheers.
thanks:)
that was really nice!
