Hello everyone,

I’m new here so go easy on me Emotion: smile

This topic came up in a family conversation about 6 months ago, and I can’t get my head around what the correct way to form this sentence is. To me, both ways are wrong!

Ok, I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. The sister is the eldest, and then it’s my elder brother, then me, and finally my younger brother.

Now, that’s a nice family. But what am I to my elder brother? I’m younger than him, but of his 2 brothers, I’m the elder. So am I his elder brother? ‘Eldest brother’ sounds equally wrong as there’s only 2 brothers….
