Is it worthwhile for man to explore space?

In September, 2008,Chinasuccessfully launched three astronauts into space and realized man’s long-cherished dream of spacewalk.

The completion of the most challenging mission has opened a new chapter forChina’s manned space industry. Ideally, we will not only better understand space but make full use of it as well. However, there are those who frown upon the idea. They may cite the following example to prove their point: In February, 2003,America’s spacecraft crashed, in which all the seven astronauts lost their lives. Admittedly, this is a tragedy in the history of space exploration, but, as we know, any undertaking involves a certain degree of risks. What counts is how much it can benefit mankind. Space exploration not only benefits us but our generations to come as well.

Therefore, it is rewarding to explore space.
