Topic:

Some people say that men are naturally more competitive than women. What extent do you agree or disagree?

It is believed that men are more competitive than their women counterparts due to their nature. I strongly disagree with this statement owing to various reasons that will be discussed in this essay.

My first argument is that differences in competitiveness among men and women are shaped by societal norms rather than human biology. The majority of the global population are living in cultures with a patriarchal social other, where male members are raised with a mindset that they are superior. As a result , they would have more confidence, making them outperform. In contrast, women are convinced that their achievements are undesirable and that they have less chance of winning. Therefore, they are less confident than men in pursuing their goals and often shy away from competition. As such, the determination found in men is a product of social norms.

Secondly, there are several instances where modern women are rapidly progressing in professional and personal spheres. Females work in almost every sector as they can excel equally as well at any job as their male counterparts. A clear illustration of this is Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, who thanks to her unflinching will to compete in the male-dominated air travel industry in Vietnam, became VietJet CEO. Another example is women's soccer teams have consistently shown high-level competition at international levels. Therefore, it is a fallacy that men are naturally more competitive than women

In conclusion, societal conditioning plays a significant role in defining gender roles which subsequently affects competitiveness levels among people of different sexes and women have risen to the same executive-level positions as men in various fields. As such, I wholeheartedly disagree with the assertion that males are more competitive than females by nature.

It is believed by some that men are more competitive than their women counterparts (wrong usage of this word.) due to their nature. I strongly disagree with them. this statement. ( wrong word. The statement is "some believe that men are more competitive than women" Do you strongly disagree that some people believe this? I think you meant to say that you disagree that men are more competitive, right? ) owing to various reasons that will be discussed in this essay. (Do not mention your essay. The examiner knows you are writing an essay. They know the format of an essay. Do not tell them this. It is a waste of words.)

My first argument is that differences in competitiveness among men and women are shaped by societal norms rather than human biology. The majority of the global population are living in cultures with a patriarchal social other, ( wrong word.) where males members are raised with a mindset that they are superior. As a result , they would have more confidence, making them want to outperform. In contrast, women are convinced that their achievements are undesirable ( That makes no sense. Women are brought up to have great achievements, specifically, a husband and lots of children. Those are very desirable achievements, aren't they? You have to be specific in what you mean.) and that they have less chance of winning. Therefore, they are less confident than men in pursuing their goals (Their goals are being a wife and mother. I think they are pretty confident, especially when the parents arrange the marriage.) and often shy away from competition. As such, the determination found in men is a product of social norms.

Secondly, there are many countries several instances (Several is a small number, only about ten or so. There are more than ten women in professions, aren't there. They can even be presidents and prime ministers.) where modern women are rapidly progressing in professional and personal spheres. Females work in almost every sector as they can excel equally as well at any job as their male counterparts.
