Anonymous Can we use the second form of a verb with 'did'?

No. Only the first form.

After auxiliary do (do, does, did) you must use the plain form of the verb.

Be careful about this when writing questions or negations.

Use the infinitive without "to". This is also called the bare infinitive, the plain form, and the dictionary form of the verb. It's the first form. (1st form of the verb.)

No because you can't use 2nd form of verb with did because did is already a 2nd form of do..

The right sentence will be -

Why didn't you come today ??

no
