The graph gives information about the Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014. It produces how many library books people read of the four years.

There were distant directions for men and women. The number of books read by men raised gradually between 2011 and 2012, from about 3000 to 4000. Next, the number increased adequately to 14000 books in 2014. This was the highest price on the stage.

Women started off reading more books than men, yet their statistics pursued a different arrangement. Between 2011 and 2012, there was a rocketed of 3000 from 5000 books to 8000 books, and then a moderate rise to 10000 books in 2013. Nonetheless, in 2014, their numbers plummeted back to 8000 again.

Dear Như Ngọc Thiều

You are a beginner student in English. IELTS Task 1 is for intermediate or advanced level students. You should study more English because most of your writing has serious mistakes.

Như Ngọc ThiềuThe graph gives information about the Burnaby Public Library between 2011 and 2014.

"Information about" means when was the library open? What is the address of this library? How many books are in the library? Does it have children's books?

That is not on this line graph.

Như Ngọc ThiềuIt produces how many library books people read of the four years.

No, that is completely wrong.

Here are some simple sentences for this line graph.

There are two lines on the graph.
One line plots how many books women read each year.
The second line plots how many books men read each year.

One line plots how many books were read by women each year.
The second line plots how many books were read by men each year.

Here is an intermediate-level sentence:

The number of books read by men and women each year are compared.

The graph compares the amount of reading done by men versus women over the time period. Specifically, it plots the number of books read by each group in each of the four years.

Như Ngọc ThiềuThere were distant directions for men and women.

That is completely wrong.

Directions are north, south, east and west.
Distant means far away.

Như Ngọc ThiềuThe number of books read by men raised gradually between 2011 and 2012, from about 3000 to 4000.

"Raised" is incorrect.

The verb is "rise" and the past is "rose".

There are only two numbers, so "gradually" is not a good word to use.

The number of books read by men increased from about 3000 in 2011 to 4000 in 2012.

Như Ngọc ThiềuNext, the number increased adequately to 14000 books in 2014.

Như Ngọc Thiều This was the highest price on the stage.

There is no money on the graph. The men did not buy these books. They read the books in a library.

There is no stage either. These words are completely wrong.

Như Ngọc ThiềuWomen started off reading more books than men, yet their statistics pursued a different arrangement.

The first part is good. The last part is bad. It has no meaning.

Như Ngọc ThiềuBetween 2011 and 2012, there was a rocketed of 3000 from 5000 books to 8000 books, and then a moderate rise to 10000 books in 2013. Nonetheless, in 2014, their numbers plummeted back to 8000 again.

Rocketed is a verb, past tense. You cannot use it like a noun.

Also "rocketed" is not good for a math essay. It is not a math or science word. It is too emotional.

Plummeted is used correctly as a verb, but again, it is not mathematical. When writing about graphs, use math vocabulary. Use numbers.

Như Ngọc ThiềuIn conclusion, there was a strong higher trend in the total of books read by men.

Do not write a conclusion paragraph in Task 1. Describe the data that is given in the figure.

You must write a conclusion paragraph for Task 2.

Here are some sentences for this essay. You can use these to study sample sentences for this kind of graph.
