What would be the grammatically correct interpretation of the following insurance exclusion clause?
All charges in connection with treatments or medications incurred due to the patient’s non-compliance with or discharge from a hospital or skilled nursing facility against medical advice.
The plan definition of incurred is:
Incurred An expense for a service or supply is incurred on the date the service or supply is furnished.
I understand this to mean that it excludes coverage for those charges which were the result of discharging against medical advice.
Grammatically speaking can this be interrupted to mean excludes coverage for those charges incurred prior to discharging against medical advice even if those charges were not the result of discharging against medical advice.
