Ciao,

I would like to understand the usage of the verb connect followed by 'to' or 'with'.

For example, which is right:

"This is tightly connected to two important quantities..."

or

"This is tightly connected with two important quantities..."

Thank you,

Stefano

Hi Stefano, Welcome to EnglishForward.

In your example, I much prefer the former, as the latter would suggest that the 'quantities' are the binding material.

'The positive pole is connected to the negative pole with a wire.'

Thank you!

This makes sense to me... Emotion: smile
