Everyone's experience is legendary to themselves, whatever they are celebrities or just odinary people.

I try to put it in a brief way, like the following:

1.Everyone has their(his or her) own legendary story

2.One thousand people, one thousand legends.

3.Two people, a couple of legends.

4.Experience makes legend.

5.Everyone has a story behind him.

6.Everyone has a story behind him.

7.Everyone is a legend.

Which one is better ? thanks for your help.

Hi,

Are you sure 'legendary' is the correct word to use? A legend involves widespread belief by many people. If you use it for just one person, you are using it in a figurative way that the reader has to figure out. That's OK, if that's waht you want to do.

Everyone's experience is legendary to themselves, whatever they are celebrities or just ordinary people.

I try to put it in a brief way, like the following:

1.Everyone has their(his or her) own legendary story

2.One thousand people, one thousand legends. This is a phrase, not a sentence. As a phrase, it is OK.

3.Two people, a couple of legends. Same as above.

4.Experience makes legend.

5.Everyone has a story behind him. Same as 6?

6.Everyone has a story behind him.

7.Everyone is a legend.

Which one is better ? What do you mean by better? More striking and more 'poetical'? I like numbers 2/4/7.

Are you familiar with the fairly well-known saying, "He is a legend in his own mind"?

Best wishes, Clive
hi Clive,

Thank you very much for your detailed reply. By"better" I means"more idinmatic" and "poetical".

But I've found the best one, that is "he is a legend in his own mind' which expresses what I want to . Thanks !!!
