Hi. Let us suppose this is a questionnaire to be handed out to students after they have watched a movie.

Please answer these after you have watched a movie in class.

1. Who, among characters in the movie, do you think has exhibited a great acting ability? Please list multiple characters if need to be.

2. Do you think this movie is suitable for a classroom discussion, for example, does the plot of the movie has sufficient discussion material for a classroom discussion ?

3. If you could have been the producer or director of the movie, how would you have produced or directed differently?

4. What is (was?) your reaction to the movie? Did you find it interesting or boring?

5. What was one aspect of the movie that you found most interesting?

Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Hi. Thank you. Do you think it would be (if it is indeed incorrect) to write "Joe exhibited a good/great acting ability (in the last film)"? I think it would be more popular to write "Joe exhibited good/great acting ability (in the last film)" but I don't understand why it would be wrong to think of him having exhibited an example/instance of good or great acting ability (in the last film).
.
'Ability' is normally uncountable when you are considering overall talent, so 'a' sounds odd.
