Dear Mr/Ms ***

I am writing to apply for the *** Practical Training Program, of which I am quite interested in the project -- ***.

I got my bachelor degree in *** in China, 2004. After the graduation, I went to a research and development company, and worked there for almost one year. This year meant a lot to me. Not only did it bring me much experience in *** and the cooperation with the others, but more importantly it was a lighthouse for my career. There I found out that *** was the new tendency and challenge of the 21st century and also there was a huge market waiting ahead. In order to make myself more qualified, I decided to study abroad. Now I have been studying the *** in the University of *** for my master degree since January 2006. As required by the university, I need to do some internship after one year’s study, so that I can put what I have learnt from the book into reality.

During the past year in ***, I have finished many courses which you can find out in the enclosed resume. Of these courses, the *** attracts me the most. In this course, I learnt the fundamentals in the ***, got an idea about the up-to-date *** techniques in *** and did a lot of readings on the relative area. It is very attractive and promising to me and also I am absolutely suitable for it since I have the right knowledge on it, I have accumulated lots of experience since my undergraduate study and I have great interest on it!

I hope you can regard me as a favorable candidate to this program. The opportunity to join the *** group will benefit me a lot and even help me launch my career.

Thank you for your time. I am planning to start it on February 2007 and any time is ok for my interview.

Sincerely Yours,

***

Nobody helps?
"As required by the university, I need to do some internship after one year’s study, so that I can put what I have learnt from the book into reality. "

That sounds as if it's only something the university requires, not something you want yourself.

Another suggestion: write to Grammar Geek and ask her to correct your letter. I'm not really that good about language but she might help Emotion: smile
Students: Are you brave enough to let our tutors analyse your pronunciation?
Hey, thanks. Finally I got the response.
