Is the definite article ok in one or all of the following sentences? Why (not)?

-They will be integrated into many sectors of the social and professional life in the US. The reference is to all lsocial and professional life in the US.

-Some people don‘t agree with the politics. Without any context to show what 'the politics' specifically refers to, I'd delete 'the'.

-That is horrible but the racism doesn‘t stop there. Same comment as the previous one.

-The food might loose ... during the transport. Same comment as the previous one. In addition, 'loose' does not make sense here. Did you mean to type 'lose'?

he basic idea is that you can't make a definite/specific reference to something unless the listener knows what you are referrng to.

For example, if I just say I hate liars, you will have a general idea of what I mean.

But if I just say I hate the liars, you will need to ask me which liars I am talking about.
