I noticed that the posts still show up when I search up my name. Is it possible to prevent this?

That's at Google's end. They don't always update their cache immediately when changes are made here, so it may take a while for your name to disappear from search results. We don't have any control over that.

How long could it take?

I've never tried to test this, but what I've been told is that for older content it can be anywhere from a few hours to several weeks. Also, the different search engines maintain their own caches, so one may update that content quicker than another.
