Hi teachers,
I have founf this direction for a test:
Hi teachers,

Circle the letter of the correct answer to complete each sentence.
Mark __________ a headache last night.
A. had B. has C. has had D. was having

Isn't better to say, circle the letter of the correct option to complete each sentence since it it a multiple choice test.

On the other hand, is it fine to say?
Circle the letter of the correct option to complete the given simple present sentence.
Robert usually ____________ at 7:00 every Monday.
A. get up B. gets up C. got up D. gots up

Is my direction too long and complicated? is there a better way?
The only thing that must be in the direction is the tense 'simple present' 'future', or 'simple past' etc.

Thanks in advance

Hi. Please help. Could we write "Circle the correct options to complete the sentences" if there is more than one sentence to for a student to do?

eg,
1. He ___ a boy.
a. is b. are
2. He ___ to school every day
a. go b. goes

Assuming a worksheet contains multiple problems like ones above, which of the following is the correct instruction? Could all be correct (or perhaps OK/acceptable?)? Thank you in advance.

1. Which is the correct tense for the following sentences?
2. Which are the correct tenses for the following sentences?
3. Which is correct for the following sentences?
4.. Which are correct for the following sentences?
5. Please choose the correct tense for the following sentences.
6. Please choose the correct tenses for the following sentences.
Your questions do not test verb tense. These are correct:

1. Which is the correct verb form for each of the following sentences?
2. Which are the correct verb forms for the following sentences?
3. Which is correct for each of the following sentences?
4.. Which are correct for the following sentences?
5. Please choose the correct verb form for each of the following sentences.
6. Please choose the correct verb forms for the following sentences.
