I think god exists because men created it as a way to explain what he can't.
As long as it brings solace to the heart of men, it is a good thing to me.

About Jesus, I think he did exist but was a simple mortal that found a lot of followers for his ideas, just like Gandhi, Luther King, Yoda, etc.
It doesn't mean that his ideas are less valuable just because he his human, but he is one guide among others of the same value.

Freedom is in diversity.
I have a mate that believes that, give enough time (like a zillion zillion years), a planet would somehow come into being, exactly the right size and distance from a sun, turning at the right speed, ie exactly like ours. It would even have a single moon the right size and distance as ours. (which you would need for ocean tides else you land up with one hell of a stinky stagnent pool), right mixture of gasses, water etc etc etc. And given another zillio zillion years animals would eventually form similair to us. It is all one big almightly fluke of nature.

He also thinks we developed from monkeys and given enough time a monkey would evolve enough to also build mobile phones, computers and fly to the moon by fluke of nature.

YEA RIGHT !!. What an idiot......

Lets take it one step at a time....
Firstly, regarding Jesus (presumably the Jesus Christ of the first century, son of Mary & Joseph etc, referred to in various books, and, in particular, the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John etc of the holy book of Christendom called The Bible)....
A fundamental question would be.. Did Jesus really exist?

But if the questioner wants to know... "Does Jesus exist?" that is a different matter. Assuming that the questioner believes that Jesus did exist (as a man in the first century), then presumably the questioner believes that Jesus was killed at that time. This being so, how can he exist now? Does the writer mean in human form? Or perhaps the writer is thinking of another plane of existence, non-material? If the writer does not think there is a non-material form of conscious existence, then there is no point in asking if anyone exists there! But if the writer believes that there is a non-material form of conscious existence, then all sorts of opportunities for discussion open up!

I did this post somewhere else too..
Point Blank there is NO GOD. The unknown territories that humans cant comprehend is all attibuted one entity called GOD. Humans wild imagination created multiple forms of GOD and ugly turns into religions...what not. And SIN is just a relative term. You do something out of the ordinary that is not acceptable to present norms of society thats a SIN. To me every human is a sinner just by existing and living. Humans survive by sacrificing other living creatures. So its all Crap. If you are raised (rather trained) to believe in god, you would. If not you would not. Deaf and dumb guys dont believe in god. Basically its your comfort level, living happily with what ever you are comfortable with. The present universe the way its set up is causing destruction. Its all pretty natural. So give Science and human brains to think it out and explain. Do not speculate and attribute that you dont know to god. Human brain is vicious and is wild in imagination and its been working of over millions of years, so you can imagine what all humans could have put in place. So wake up and live life easily like a simple human, respect the fellow human. There is no GOD, you are the GOD. Our brains are wondeful, train your mind to tell you to be GOD, then you dont need another GOD.
Oh, okay then.

I tried this, but my brain keeps telling me to be Dick van Dyke. Last week it was telling me to be Peewee Herman. The truth is, I want to be L.Ron Cupboard (with a rafiawork base), but it seems my brain has other ideas.
