It is impossible to contact anyone in authority on this site.

I can't for the life of me find how to edit a post even within the 1 hour deadline etc.

Why doesn't the strike-through feature work for me: this is invaluable to indicate an incorrect word and then type in the correct work for clear contrast.

I can't change the text to a colour (also good to separate quoting the post, and what I sm saying in reply. And when I copy someone's post that is in colour, I can't change it to black.

There seem to be hundreds of unanswered posts; here I am ready to wade in and help out to they don't give up and go to UsingEnglish or some such other site, and it's just constant frustration. I'm not sure how much longer I'll stick around at this rate.

Hi TerryX,
I had the silimar experience before. If I remember correctly, it was something incompatible between the scripts of EF and my computer. Maybe others can offer more clues...
Hey Terry,

Feel free to contact either me or Punkybrewster if you have any questions about the site.

Basically, posts are editable within about 15 mins. You can edit them by clicking the editing icon at the right bottom of the screen:

Hi Terry, I'm also answering you here in case you pop by...
I had replied to your email and was hoping to find out more about the problems you're having, more importantly, which browser you're using.

We'll be fixing editor problems soon so any help is appreciated Emotion: smile
Also, as far as I know, except for the quote bug (where it's problematic to remove text) I cannot find any other bug so for now we recommend using Firefox until this is all fixed.

Colours don't work, right - but strikethrough works fine for us... Can anyone else confirm this with Chrome?
I use Safari, and reported the above.

I tried Google chrome, and again, neither colours nor strike-through work.

But I have found the edit button. Funny...rather than the simple word 'edit' in a box, somehow that pencil that seems to be drawing a line is it. It's to the right of a X in a box. When I'm adventurous and not scared of losing all the text I've just typed, I'll click on that too and see what happens.
Yes we're aware of the Chrome bugs, we'll test Safari some more.

Glad you've found the edit button. The X will delete your post.
