Hi,
I noticed that I can edit posts that I wrote 2 days ago and that are followed by a couple of replies. In other words, I can edit posts that are... kind of old. Is this normal? I don't think it makes much sense... I think that once someone else answers and adds a post to the thread, you shouldn't be able to edit your post. Well, normal users shouldn't, I mean.
It's the principle that "what is said is said and can't be changed".

So can someone tell me more about this? Thanks Emotion: smile
Hi,

It's nice to be able to correct a "typo" or misspelling - or to add something you forgot - but I agree.
Yeah... right after you post, though. Not a week later, lol.

Anyone who can tell me more about this? Emotion: smile

PS: I just took a look at some old posts of mine. I can't edit all the last posts in every thread. Only in some. And it's not the last post of mine in a thread... it could be the first, or another one.
So this is definitely a bug. I can edit a post I wrote in April of 2006. I can edit my first post in that funny thread "Evolution - Are all the races equally developed", which was one of the official threads that was part of the "World's Best Troll 2007" contest. I can edit the first, not the others.

So I think it would be a good idea now to correct some mistakes I made some years ago when I was a new member, and add some insults in some threads where I forgot to insult someone who deserved it. No one would notice, it's just editing old posts. (<--- note: this paragraph involves "sarcasm")

So it's a bug, isn't it? Emotion: geeked<-- nerd emoticon

Emotion: wink

PPS: Can somebody delete the thread above (Title: ??)? I was messing around and I created a thread that can't be opened, because of some characters in the title (and that's another bug, by the way).

I think they know about it but I don't think they can delete the threads..:)
Oh, I see.
Well, no one seems to care about this anyway... maybe everything will be fixed in the new version of the software. We will see... how long until the new EF?

PS: You know what I was trying to do when I created that thread? I was trying to create an invisible thread... yeah, there's one in the help section. Either you find it using the search function, or... following the link I'm about to give you. Otherwise you can't see it. I thought it was due to the characters in the title, but I think it's just because there's something messed up because some posts were deleted... something like that.

Invisible thread? What is an invisible thread? Emotion: tongue tied

Like the one you created in this section tittled "??" ?

I was referring to that one... you can't see it in the list of threads. Either you look for it using the search function, or you won't find it.
LoL - That's funny, it's true! Emotion: big smile
