I read the following script in a TOEIC book:

"The elevator doors are wide open." ((Complete Guide to the TOEIC Test, 3rd Edition, by Bruce Rogers))

The above sentence was about a picture, and I'll let you know almost the same picture (as the original one):

What do you think? Can you say the above sentence for the picture?

I don't think you can say it because there is only ONE elevator and the door should be ONE.

Am I wrong?

Most elevators have two doors that close from either side and meet in the middle. Two doors per elevator.
