Hello. I am having a difficulty interpreting the following sentence I came across with in an article in a magazine: Exhibit A is Transformers, the summer's most anticipated movie event that doesn't end in a number.

Could anyone explain to me what "end in a number" mean? Does it mean something like The movie will be highly profitable, and, at the same time, a brilliant masterpiece that will be remembered for a long time?

The article is about the blockbuster movies that are coming up this summer.

Thank you.

My guess is that it is an original movie, not a sequel to another: Rocky III, for example.
