It is sometimes believed that increasing the price of fuel is the best way to address the world’s environmental issues. This essay strongly disagrees with the suggestion.

On the one hand, those who believe that the cost of fuel should be growing. From their point of view, overpopulation leads to a growth in private automobiles. When the rising the price of fuel, a lot of people will choose public transport. A reduction in private vehicles also means a cut in CO2 emissions. Therefore, the rate of CO2 emissions which is the main reason for air pollution could be decreased. To be more specific, air pollution will decrease. For example, in Japan, people go to their companies by metro or bus which is public transport to help them save money and protect the environment.

However, I still argued that increasing fuel price is not the best way to protect the environment for some reasons. The first reason is that Environment issues are the harmful effects of human activities. There included pollution, the greenhouse effect, and global warming. The other reason is that Environment Education is more important. This education is helping people understand how they affect their environments. For example, some schools in Vietnam have been showing their students how to reduce, reuse and recycle waste. It is necessary for young people to know how to address the world’s environmental issues.

In conclusion, although some people think that raising the cost of fuel is the most effective method to tackle this problem, I still hold the belief that it is not a necessary idea.
