"The meetings are convened at least once every six months" Is it possible to write "at least once in half a year" Are there any other ways of writing this?

Is it possible to write "at least once in half a year". IMO, it sounds fine.

My suggestion is "at least twice yearly", "at least twice per year" or "at least twice a year".

Those are different meanings.

I can hold a meeting every January and then again in December. That's twice a year, or once in each half of the calendar year.

That's not the same as holding a meeting at least every six months.

If I must hold a meeting at least every six months, then if I hold a meeting in January, I must hold another by July. If I hold another one sooner, say in March, for some reason, then I must have another by September. That's obviously not the same as twice a year.

You might also want to look at the word 'biannually'. But that's used less often, perhaps because it tends to be confused with 'biennially'.Emotion: smile
