When you are talking about something that is yours, is it more common to say 'my (something)' or 'the (something)' as in 'I have finally paid off my/the debt' ?

Thanks a lot

I have paid off all my debts - very common
I have paid off all the debts that I had.

Can I say 'I have paid off all the debts' and still me the same thing as '...my debts'? Does any ambiguity exist?

Thanks

No, "all the debts" wouldn't necessarily be your debts. Say "I have paid off all my debts".
