" I am looking for a long time."

Is this sentence correct?

I think you want: "I have been looking for a long time."

"I was looking for a long time" also works grammatically, but in the version above, you are still looking.

(I am looking for a long time is ungrammatical.)

I'm not an expert however I would say it needs more detail depending on what you want to say for example:

"I am looking for a long time off"
"I am looking to work for a long time"
"I have been looking for a long time"

Hope this helps.

I'm thinking there are certain casual narrative styles in which "I'm looking for a long time" could work. You're describing your actions. (But I don't think that's what you intend.)
