EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The report you are about to read contains information on a subject that has helped

Many of the most successful people in the world climb to the top of there fields, social networking. Today, it is more important than ever to have credible contacts with good ideas and knowledgeable information in the professional and social arenas of everyday life. Here in the twenty-first century, we have instant access to these people, which in the past could have taken a lifetime to find. This report focuses primarily on the new tool available to everyone, social networking websites through which countless numbers of people everywhere are connecting socially, romantically, and professionally.

The report will cover several topics related to social networking websites. It will also give a brief overview about what social networking websites actually are. Examples of three different social networking websites will be presented, along with descriptions of there intended use, earnings, and owners. The following topic will report on the business applications of social networking websites that businesses are currently using and some examples of there intended use in the future. Next, the report will examine in detail the issues surrounding this type of social interaction, and any dangers that lie beneath the surface of these attractive websites. The report will end with a conclusion that summarizes these main topics, along with providing important take-away points from the information contained in the report.
As a first, easy step, run your text through MS Word or some other application. When I did, I found the following:
  • Passive Sentences: 0% (I don't believe this stat)
  • Flesch Reading Ease 33.4
  • Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level 14.4
That's a poor way to start any report. You are going to make your readers work hard.

Even worse, as you look at your text, there are several readily apparent errors. For example:
saeedkhanzThe report you are about to read contains information on a subject that has helped
Many of the most successful people in the world climb to the top of there fields, social networking.
One sentence or two? There or their? As I scan through your text, I see repeated "This report..." or "The report..." That soon gets repetitious.

As I read through your text, ignoring your errors, I keep reading about what I am about to read. Isn't this the executive summary? If it is, then why are you wasting the reader's time by telling her what she is about to read. She might be interested in reading the executive summary only. The executive summary is just that--a summary of the information meant for an executive with pressing time constraints.

You need to clean up the grammar and spelling errors and give some thought to your orgranization, structure and content.
