hello robsee. This is not a translation site. have you tried alta vista?
Alta Vista doesn't work correctly. However, I am sure there is a guy who can help me. I remember his name was something like MrPredantic or similar. He must be a moderator as well. He had helped me with such problems before. Would be nice when you could give him a call, as I cannot find him right now.

I didn't know that before.

Next time I'll only post the English sentences so that you can have a look at these.

Hi,
There is a mistake in your and other people's translation of the first sentence - in this sentence the capital letters of personal pronouns make a difference.

1) Erlaubten sie Ihnen, Ihr Auto vor ihrem Haus zu parken?
Did they allow you to park your car in front of their house?

Number 3 goes like this:

3) Der Trainer wollte, dass alle seine Spieler am Konditionstraining teilnehmen.
The trainer wanted that all of his players take part in fitness training.

Hi Robert,

Thank you, Fair Lady. I do agree with Robert that alta vista is pretty awful, and I'm sorry I even suggested it. I tried to translate a letter from Portuguses to English, but it was totally incomprehensible. It was easier to translate it from Portuguese to French and then I justr sat and puzzled out the French!
Just a couple of supplementary thoughts:

1) Erlaubten sie Ihnen, Ihr Auto vor ihrem Haus zu parken?
— Isn't it 'did they allow you to park your car in front of their house'?

7) Stets ermutigte er mich, mein Studium fortzusetzen.
Perhaps '...to continue (with) my studies'.

8) Der Manager bat seine Mitarbeiter eindringlich, sich mehr anzustrengen.
— '...to make more effort'.

9) Der Vorstand hat mich eingeladen, einen Bericht über die Gewinne zu geben (to give a talk).
Or 'presentation', in a business context.

10) Zum Schluss hat er sie überzeugt, seinen Vorschlag anzunehmen.
— 'in the end', rather than 'at the end'.

12) Ich habe dich oft genug gewarnt, dein Fahrrad abzuschließen (to lock).

Do we 'lock' a bicycle? I'm not sure whether the sense here is 'to padlock' or 'to lock up/away'.

(Cf. 'How many times have I told you to lock away your bicycle!')
