You usually get used to something unpleasant. I might have used "get the hang of it". I had to look up "fresher" because I am an American. It is the British word for freshman, and they seem to use it more generally for a beginner than we do "freshman".

Yes, but I normally would not, just by instinct: "If you do this job regularly, you will get the hang of it and become an efficient worker."
