2. Give it to whoever you like. (?)

3. You can in vite whomever you like. (0)

4. You can invite whoever you like. (0 ?)

Yes. It's all right to substitute 'who' for 'whom' and 'whoever' for 'whomever' when it's at the head of its clause.

However, use 'whomever' in an English class where you are required to use only the most formal kind of writing.
