It is generally agreed today that global warming is one of the biggest issues facing humans. This essay is going to argue environmental problems and the measures that governments and individuals can take to address this bad situation.

The main causes of global warming are man-made. First and foremost, it is due to greenhouse gases often produced by power plants. When coal is burnt to make electricity, it releases a large amount of CO2 into the atmosphere. The second greatest source of carbon dioxide emissions comes from the petrol burning in motor vehicles. Another reason is deforestation for farmland, wood and paper contributes to higher temperatures which lead to the melting of polar ice caps and the rising of sea levels, because forests absorb and capture Co2 from the atmosphere.

There are some ways to improve this issue. The government could spend more money to plant and clear trees as well as control factories and vehicles. Similarly, government should not only impose the law but also uphold and enforce it. In addition, it is time for every single person to take some real action now to reduce the risk. For instance, people should transfer by public transportation instead of using cars or motorbikes; preferably eco-friendly transport to decrease Co2 emissions. In the same way, reduce, reuse and recycle is also a useful way to deal with this issue.

In a nutshell, it is clear that there are various reasons for global warming, and steps need to be taken to tackle this problem.

Revise by removing chaff. I have quickly struck out unnecessary verbosity, but I have not repaired any consequent structural problems; I leave that to you:

Global warming is what our planet is worried about. While this causes a serious effect on sea level and people's health, I strongly believe that several steps may be taken to tackle this issue.

There is no doubt that global warming poses many adverse consequences. To commence with, global warming is a fundamental reason to raise the level of seawater by higher temperature. The planet's average surface temperature has risen each year. 80% of this additional heat is absorbed by the world’s ocean leading to ice age melting of the polar ice cap, More specifically, this process will result in a sharp increase in sea level, which is of the motives for the submersion of coastal areas, which can be devastating for coastal inhabitants such as erosion, flooding. Another impact directly affects people’s physical health. Skin cancer, for example, is due to the sun-powered radiation presently coming to the Earth’s surface through the ozone gap caused by the rise in the temperature.

However, policies and education which the nation can adopt to improve matters. First of all, with policies, the first solution is that the government must encourage power stations and plants to use more environmentally-friendly energy sources such as nuclear or renewable energy instead of fossil fuels. The second measure is stricter punishments individual's actions or organizations that create global warming such as deforestation for agriculture, emission of untreated smoke. Besides that, raising awareness of protecting the environment via mass media such as televisions, magazines, the internet, and so on. By taking these actions, this issue would be properly addressed

In Conclusion, global warming is not a problem for one country or continent. It is a problem for all of us. it is dangerous with the level of seawater and the health of mankind. Nevertheless, the nation can address this challenge by law and enhance the knowledge of everyone.
