1. I wouldn't use the present tense here, unless you're writing a text/book and use stylistic tricks. I'd say "from childhood on, they got etc..." if you are referring to the past of those persons.

Or "from childhood on, they've got etc...", if that statement has anything to do with the present/their present condition.

2. I'd choose "They have been brought up well", result being they are well-brought.
Either, depending on the situation.

"From childhood, they got the right nourishment" It's past.

"From childhood they get the right nourishment" It's present/general time.

"They have been brought up well"

"From childhood they GOT or GET the right nourishment".

If you want to mean that they are still getting the right nourishment, the sentence should be "Since childhood they have got the right nourishment."
With "from childhood (on)", I can't see how the present tense can be used.

So I'll edit my first post: either they have got (they've been getting might be better), or they got.
I just wanted to confirm whether Himadri is referring to the fact that they are still getting the correct nourishment. It's best Himadri confirms this point. If he is referring to what happened in the past, then my sentence would not be correct.

Oh, I'm sorry, Yoong Liat, I wasn't really referring to your post... You are quite right! I wasn't correcting you in any way.
Yoong Liat "From childhood they GOT or GET the right nourishment".

Not only.

TV documentary:

A group of baby elephants playing in the river:

Baby elephants grow rapidly. From childhood they get the right nourishment.

Question: Are baby elephants all around the world still getting the right nourishment?
I think one needs "on" here:
From childhood on they get the right nourishment.
