I have been graced beyond measure by my family life with Hillary and Chelsea.

I guess it wasn’t a bad place for a beautiful young widow to move beyond her loss

For all their own demons, my grandparents and my mother always made me feel I was the most important person in the world to them.

He snickered and said, “Yeah, I do. Seems like they’re a little more settled.

Yeah, it is, but I signed on for the whole load, and most of it was pretty good.

Thank you and best wishes.

Hello Jersey

1. I have been graced beyond measure by my family life with Hillary and Chelsea.] In effect, this means "my life with H. and C. has enhanced my life immeasurably". The idea behind it is that his family life is "a gift from God, by the grace of God".

2. I guess it wasn’t a bad place for a beautiful young widow to move beyond her loss ] "To recover from the loss of her husband."

3. For all their own demons, my grandparents and my mother always made me feel I was the most important person in the world to them.] Your "demons" are the (usually negative) things that trouble you obsessively and influence the way you behave. "Despite the fact that they had worries of their own, my grandparents..."

4. He snickered and said, “Yeah, I do. Seems like they’re a little more settled.] Do you have more context? It could mean a number of things. Probably "comfortably established", or "It seems like they've got used to the situation".

5. Yeah, it is, but I signed on for the whole load, and most of it was pretty good. ] Again, difficult to say without more context; but probably "I agreed to do the whole thing", "I took on the thing as a whole".

Hi, MrP

Thank you for what you did ,here are the contexts we need.:

4.He never lost his sense of humor. He was still driving at eighty-seven, when he took two

lady friends, aged ninety-one and ninety-three, for drives separately once a week. When

he told me about his “dates,” I asked, “So you like these older women now?” He snickered

and said, “Yeah, I do. Seems like they’re a little more settled.”

5.He followed me to the door, and as I was about to walk out, he grabbed my arm. I turned

and saw tears in his eyes for the first and only time in almost fifty years of love and

friendship. I said, “This is really hard, isn’t it?” I’ll never forget his reply. He smiled and

said, “Yeah, it is, but I signed on for the whole load, and most of it was pretty good.” My

uncle Buddy taught me that everyone has a story. He told his in that one sentence.
Hello Jersey

4. Yes; here he means "comfortable with themselves and their lives"; or "content to live an uneventful life".

5. It's still a little obscure' but it seems to mean "I signed up for the whole deal: for better or worse".

See you,

MrP
