HI

Can anyone help?

The following group of sentences need to be combined into one complex or compound sentence.

I have made an attempt.

Is it correct?

I offered him help. He needed help. He persisted in refusing help. I left him to his fate.

Since he persisted in refusing my help, while he was in need of help, I left him to his fate.

Yes, this is OK, although you could start arguing about some finer points, eg Was the help that he refused just mine, or did other people also offer help?

Unless you want emphasis, replace the second 'help' with 'it'.

There are, as you probably realize, lots of ways to combine these sentences.
