has been stopped or was stopped which one is correct

"Has been stopped" or "Was stopped"

Both are possible. It depends on the situation that you want to use them in. "Has been stopped" is a passive voice structure in the present perfect tense, which we would use to say something like "The email service HAS BEEN stopped due to low storage in your mobile". "Was stopped" is also a passive voice structure, but in past simple tense. We can use it to say something like "Use of plastic bags WAS STOPPED in our country in 2015".
