Several days ago I learnt my friend was sick/ill/had caught a cold; if I want to know whether he has restored his health, how should I phrase the question?

Thank you.
eg Are you OK now?
eg Are you better now?

The use of 'now' in Clive's suggestions imply that you know your friend has not been well. The word 'better' in the second suggestion makes it obvious.

Thank you. But if one day I see him, he wouldn't remember I know him to have caught a cold; how should I phrase the question to make him know I am talking about his cold?
