Hi. I wrote this dialog.

(Two friends at a bar. They talk about a third friend.)

FRIEND 1: So Ben's coming today?

FRIEND 2: I don't know. He said he would.

FRIEND 1: I don't blame him. I would also have trouble finding time if I had five kids.

FRIEND 2: Six.

FRIEND 1: (surprised) Six? He got another one?

FRIEND 2: No.

FRIEND 1: Oh.

Hi. Would He got another one? be natural here or would it typically be phrased in another way? Thanks.

The exchange between friend 1 and 2 is correct. Bert has 6 kids. Friend 1 is mistaken when he says Bert has 5 kids, and friend 2 corrects him.

"Got" is unusual there. It sounds like a lame jocularity, as if he bought a kid.
