Hi.
In:
"The health and positioning of all pawns is called pawn structure."
(from Play Winning Chess, p.118)

, why did GM Seirawan used the word 'health' and not 'condition'?Does it have any differences?

Thanks in advance

It's just a slightly unusual word to choose. It seems to mean 'the good condition of the pawns', ie they are assets to the player and not liabilities.

No difference. It is a word choice which perhaps belongs to certain chess circles.
