What is the difference in usage between the two words "hectic" and "busy"? Can I use "hectic" in a casual way?
Hectic is a bit stronger than busy and usually means very busy. You can use hectic in everyday conversation for example "it's been a hectic day". You cannot, however, say "I'm hectic" but you can say "I'm busy". I hope that helps.
