The meaning of The meaning of he is seeing the patients all morning . Why is it in the continuous form

The Present Continuous tense is often used to talk about current and short-term plans and activities.

eg Mary is going to Paris tomorrow.

eg I'm washing my hair so I can't talk to you right now.

He is meeting with the patients all tomorrow morning, or all this morning if this sentence is said during this morning.

If you mean 'patients in general', just say 'patients. If you mean some particular group of patients hat has already been defined, use the definite article. ie say 'the patients'.

He is seeing patients all morning.

To show that we're talking about activities in the near future.

We're helping our neighbors move next week.
They're shipping all these packages tomorrow.
The Smiths are traveling around Europe next month.

Such sentences can also occur in the future continuous with little change of meaning:

He'll be seeing patients all morning.
We'll be helping our neighbors move next week.
They'll be shipping all these packages tomorrow.
The Smiths will be traveling around Europe next month.
