Should Malaysian Universities implement the open book examination? Open book examination (OBE) had been an argumentative issue for many years. Some university for instances, the of , , and many of other overseas university had successfully benefiting from the OBE implementation. In order to being part of the best education provider, Malaysian universities should implement the OBE. I strongly believe that OBE should be implementing to makes our country remains in same stages as world class education. Four main advantages of OBE will be discussed to support the idea of why we should implement the OBE. They are as a platform of success, optimizing learning, improved the quality of academic works and reduce stress. As it is defined by K.P. Mohanan (1997) “An open book examination is one in which examinees are allowed to consult their class notes, textbooks, and other approved material while answering questions.” It is meaning those students are allowed to bring materials into an exam hall. Some might says that open book examination is an easy exam but “Contrary to what people think, open book exams are more difficult to design, implement and evaluate compared to the routine closed book examinations.” (K.P. Mohanan, 1997). The main advantage of open book examination (OBE) is being the best platform of success. In a fast-moving world, employers demand to only employ student who are ready to work without required to be much guide and adapt on changes. OBE produce the best readily employees compared to closed book exam. Kyle C.,in Teen Ink blog, saying that OBE “…would help us to see how what we are learning applies to our everyday lives in a more practical ways.” Secondly, open book examination (OBE) had successfully helps in optimizing learning. Unlike OBE, closed book exams required student spend most of their time in memorizing formula had eliminates the purpose of study rather than concentrate on the concepts. Research done by Health and Sport Science Department, had found that OBE offered positive effects on student in higher level of critical thinking, writing skills and overall learning. Mykayla M., through Teen Ink blog also experienced the same had saying that “After I had taken a test, most of the material quickly escapes from my conscience.” Mark Cuban in blog maverick also agrees with this when says that “It also was the quickest way to forget everything you just learned the minute the tests were over.”Thirdly, open book examination (OBE) had improved the quality of academic works. The improvement involves academic preparedness, evaluation methodology and grading. According to K.Ramachandran (2005), “A teacher cannot simply draw up questions and prepare a key answer set as in a closed book examination”. Academicians have to be well prepared and no longer acts as a teacher in closed book exam on the contrary becoming an assessor, facilitator, trainer and also as a consultant in OBE. Last but not least, open book examination (OBE) proves that it is able to reduce stress. OBE is not only managed to remove fear and emotional block, moreover it reduced burden on recall. Based on my personal experienced, I had gone through a moment whereby I felt so stressful when I had to answer those question on exam which required me to deliver what I had memorize in the whole book. Through researched carried by Advances in Health Sciences Education, 14 double test for OBE and closed book exam runs on students shows result varied between 0.712 and 0.850. it is says that reliability on memory had reduced by 0.138. This benefits helps in controlling student acts committing suicide when they are too stressful. Despite these advantages, there is disadvantage to be conceded. The contra argument is on students’ distraction of numerous resources available. Student had the opportunity bringing a number of book to refer at the examination, however according to NUS, “the availability of too much information at the examination may distract and confuse the students who may find it difficult to stop them from lifting out chunks of information.” Although this problem arise and seems constraint the open book examination implementation but with the proper guidance by academician, this problem could be easily overcome. In conclusion, I stress out that open book examination (OBE) should be implement in order to make our country remains of being the very best education provider; now it is a good started in finding ever more creative ways to cope with today’s high expectation on education performances. The best way of evaluating student ability and skills should be considering from a very effective perspective. Therefore, I hope that the Ministry of Higher Education will now consider of implementing the OBE as part of universities evaluation method.
You need to break this up into paragraphs.

This is totally not understandable!! You must go through your essay and proof-read EACH sentence to make sure it has a verb and subject and the reader will understand what you are saying!
