Can you help?

Is this sentence grammatical?

Her father and herself were waiting for the letter.

She and her father were...

"Herself" isn't the right pronoun for the subject of a sentence. It's an object, when "she" is both the subect and the object.

She mentally kicked herself for her stupid remark.

She bought one pie for her friend and one for herself.
