We believe in hell because the bible is God's word and it tells us that there is a hell. The bible also tells us that we must put our faith in what Jesus Christ did on the cross in order to keep us from going to hell.
Yeah Lazarus you seem to take it quite awefully !!!

And Alt_Rock_Monk I agree you on following but it's still far more vast than you think.

"It's easy to say what's "bad": Killing people, prostitution, stealing. Now that last one is a big one, 'stealing'. Everyone's stolen at some point in their lives. Remember when you were four-years-old and you stole a cookie when your mom said 'no'? Well, if that's all it takes to go to Hell, then I guess we're ALL going there, aren't we? "

Heaven/hell exists and still there is a place more exoitc and sacred and lively than heaven where Einstein was trying to go at his last years but before he could, hi died.

God is not a person, it's the nature itself and it's omnipotent though to reveal it's mystery it creats some forms and we pray it as the God !!!

And I agree on your following views :

"And as a result, when we die, we'll just dissolve into the world and become One with God? Or is it too impossible to think that reincarnation might exist? Because that makes more sense to me. We're born, we live, we die, we're born, we live, we die, etc. in many different forms? That actually makes sense, because when you look at the billions of years that God's universe has existed, it's hard to believe that he would create us to live for only 80 years or (usually) less."

Yes it keeps on moving and we can defeat the death and remain in our life...

Yeah, that place that Einstein was trying to go - that took place inside of his own head. He wasn't actually 'going' anywhere. Same thing with Buddha - when he meditated for a whole night, he didn't actually 'hear' God, but he understood him, and was able to hear him inside of his own head. As a result of this, I think that a logical theory is that Heaven exists inside of us - like, that part of our brain that dreams come from...you know those really great dreams when you wake up, and you're so angry for waking up because the dream was so great? That part of the brain can be reached during conciousness, and I think that's what Einstein was trying to do - he was meditating.

While I am not a religious individual by any means, I actually really appreciate this post by anonymous. This is one of the few posts that I have read that comes right out with the truth from a faith-based perspective. People believe in heaven or hell because the Bible says so. Blunt and accurate. Good work. The Bible actually being God's word, now, that's another story. Emotion: wink

I don't think the Bible says anything. Books don't speak for themselves. It records the great wisdom, advice and commands of a great number of wonderful thinking beings. I do not know of any other book that contains so much wisdom, but I must admit that I have not read the Koran.
So, the Bible doesn't say there is a heaven or a hell. Wise men do, and I believe it takes great wisdom to truly understand what they mean by it.

With a laddar.. Universal gravity should affect the universe, even when you die.
Hello Alt and all,

Well, certainly Einstein was going somewhere but he couldn't. If you can wander through some old libraries you may find biography written by R.H.Brook ( I might have spelled it wrong !!!lol). and Einstein's last book "Einstein's Theory" it could be found only with scientists or in the oldies !!!

And about Bible being the authentic, I don't agree because I know the Sanskrit is the oldest language of humankind and the literatures written in it must be the oldest of all, so I think it's Rigveda, the oldest and only authentic scripture.

It tells more about scientific discoveries and it has declared the amount of the elements which sceince has found more than 109 ( I guess). And it tells more awesome things too which the western scientist agree, even Einstein.

There's a Russian scholor who researched in Jesus life for 40 years and found Jesus was in the east between his age of 12-30 about which Bible is damn quiet.

You really dig Einstein, PF, huh? Einstein was a brilliant physicist, yes. But he was not a brilliant philosopher. I tend to think people are more in love with the name Einstein than the man himself.
