According to what it's kown as British accent, how am I supposed to pronounce words than end in -er (e.g. driver)?, like a kind of open "a" without pronouncing the "r"?

Thanks

Hi Anon,

It depends on the British accent. In RP, and most south-eastern English accents, 'er' in a word-final position is realised as a schwa (except for when the following word begins with a vowel sound).

Thanks in advanced

I just read something yesterday that said that in Heightened/Conservative RP, if the following word begins with a vowel, the r is pronounced as a flap.

Yes, that's correct.
