Hello all,

It's my first time posting so forgive me if my format seems a little awkward or amateur.

I am working on a project with a professor but we've only met once (about the project itself). I still have some questions about a couple of dates that need to be set, and just questions about the project in general. I don't want to sound authoritative or insecure about the meeting. He's a very busy person but at the same time, I don't want to neglect the project out of fear of asking questions.

It's there a short way of requesting a meeting with him without stating too much what the meeting is about? It's going to be through e-mail so I want to keep it short but precise.

Thanks for your help,

JH

"Hello Prof. ______,

I have been asked to submit a set of proposal deadlines through the department. I wanted to know if it's possible to meet with you to discuss them, and see if there are any other particular general deadlines you think I should keep in mind.

Sincerely,

JH"

I think there could be a better way to phrase this...
Teachers: We supply a list of EFL job vacancies
Dear Prof. __,

I have been asked to submit a set of proposal deadlines through the department. Would it be possible for me to meet with you to discuss them, and see if there are any other considerations you think I should keep in mind?

I would be very grateful if you had some time, at your convenience of course, to talk to me about these matters.

Sincerely,

JH
Would it be acceptable to include times that I'm available?
Yes. Something along the lines of this:

I am generally free [Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons], if that would be convenient for you.
