what is apparently really means, please can you advise me whether the sentence below is correct.
apparently he replied to us today like he is having very tuff time now and our payment will be further delayed. Apparently he replied to us today that he is having a very tough time now and our payment will be further delayed.
Apparently means 'It seems like'. It tells the reader that you are not sure if what you are saying is true.
eg Someone comes in with wet hair so you say 'Apparently it is raining'.
I think this sums it up I am in a situation where I have heard my client is slow on his feet I need more time with him. (I am a home support person). thank you. This helped a loT. Lilly
Is the word apparently correctly used here?
'2nd set of piles to be transfer to the quay side, but apparently one of the crane used for transfer pile onto boogey broke down.'
'Apparently' makes it sound like you are not completely sure that the crane broke down.
If you want to sound completely sure, remove the word 'apparently'. That way, it sounds like you are stating a fact.
Your sentence has several other problems.

"The cat is scared of my guitar and apparently my singing."
