Hello,

I´m a German high school student and we are working on a project about renewable energy. I wrote a text about several possibilities for private households to recieve renewable energy and I´m now supposed to transelate this text into English. I found it really difficult to write this text in German and it´s ofcourse even harder for me to transelate the whole thing into English Emotion: sad Anyways, Deadline is tomorrow afternoon so I really hope someone has the time to correct my text!!

Thanks!! Kristin

Renewable energy

There are several possibilities for a private household to receive reasonable ecological energy through renewable energy. At first I would like to comment shortly on biomass energy.

Biomass energy is basically made of liquid manure, dung and residual waste. There are no new greenhoue gases blown into the atmosphere.
Unlike solar- and wind energy, biomass energy is independent of sun and wind and is therefore contributing a secure energy supply. To satisfy the increasing energy-hunger, so called fast-growing energy crop were under examination; because of their high proceeds biomass energy will probably be competitive soon.
In a household biomass energy can especially be used for cooking and lighting.

I would now like to define solar energy which reduces contaminant-emission. Solar energy used to be transformed into solar electricity or captured by solar thermal systems. New solar cells could soon deliver cheap and eco-friendly electricity through roofs or collapsible mobile phones. It will be more applicable in the power supplies of apartment houses, office buildings, parking meters and cars.
Furthermore window glasses can be used for power generation.

Biomass energy is basically made of liquid manure, dung [these are basically the same thing - I would omit "dung"] and residual waste. There are no new greenhouse gases blown released into the atmosphere.

Unlike solar- and wind energy, biomass energy is independent of sun and wind and is therefore contributing contributes a secure energy supply. To satisfy the increasing energy-hunger, so-called fast-growing energy crops were under examinationare being tested; because of their high proceeds output, biomass energy will probably be competitive soon.

One comment - if biomass energy is based on crops grown in the ground [soya/oilseed rape] , they are not independent of sun and wind [they have to grow well] but the use for fuel is not dependent on sun and wind.
Thank you sooo much Emotion: wink

Sorry guys I don't know how to post my own thread, but I just need help with this dramatic monologue, that I have to write. Any suggestiongs on how to write it or what to write it on?
Not really. Your personal experiences should provide you with a theme.

To start a new thread, go to the first page in the individual forum and at the top left of your screen are three little boxes, one of which says "Post".
I want to get an essay about renewable energy.
