Hi,

I heard him crying. Emphasizes the length of the period. eg He didn't just cry for one second.

I heard him cried. Incorrect grammar.

I heard him cry. Does not emphasize the length of the period that he cried.

What is the difference in the meaning of the above sentences?

Best wishes, Clive

Thank you clive.

I heard him crying.

I heard him cry.

In the first sentence, I think Emotion: crying is `non-finite verb'

In the last sentence, I think (cry) is `infinitive' as well as `non-finite' verb.

Am I right?
Hi,

Yes.
