My opinion:

Both are correct.

But the first sentence is used in formal writting, while the second usually in oral expression or in informal situation.
You will not find a closer match for the Network Administrator position than I.

I prefer your first sentence as you could rewrite it as: You will not find a closer match for the Network Administrator position than I am.

You will find a good discussion in the article Taller than I / me.

Hope this helps.
Site Hint: Check out our list of pronunciation videos.
The problem with using I is that you get another possible interpretation of the sentence:

You will not find a closer match for the Network Administrator position than I will/can.
Mask, you raise an exellent point.

Here is another "source", this time from Webster Grammar Log 538.

Which sentence is correct in stating I'm glad she is pregnant and I am not?

* "Better she than I."
or
* "Better her than me."

Interestingly, in trying to solve this question, Google is consulted to see which is more common.

Given the point you raised-and it's an excellent point-I would either end the sentence with "I am" or "me" to avoid the potential confusion you raised.

Hi,
Your question reminds me of an example I once saw in a grammar book.
Compare these two sentences:
Mr Pettigrew likes his secretary more than his wife.
Mr Pettigrew likes his secretary more than his wife does.
As you certainly notice these two sentences may have two different meanings '(or just the same, depending on the way yopu loook at it)
