AnonymousI think its snow as well...

and the pancake part could be explainable.. sun can make fired if you reflect it off a mirror and snow reflects the snow and if you can get the refelction hot enough you can make a fire which can turn pancakes brown..

?
the polar bear eats the pancake and shits it out brown

-sword master
i guessed pressure

whether literally meaning pressure like the cause of an explosion or like peer pressure

but i guess that doesnt turn polar bears white and pancakes brown
The whole purpose of a riddle is to misdirect a person into overanalyzing an obvious answer. The part about the Harvard students and the kindergarteners is put into the riddle for a reason - not just an interesting sidenote. For those of you who said pressure, air, molecules, the Dahli Llama, Einstein's Theory of Relativity, or any other ridiculous answer, think to yourself how in the hell a kindergartener would know what any of that stuff is. When you ask a small child a long drawn out question, they concentrate on the very last thing you say. When you ask "Can you solve this riddle?", they are not thinking of a solution but merely answering your question by saying "No". Harvard, the American cliche for really smart kids, was thrown into the riddle to show that most adults will overanalyze a question simply because they think riddles are supposed to be extremely difficult to solve, when in fact, they are the opposite if you think outside the box.

The answer is "No". This is not arguable, unless of course you are a bumbling moron or a mad scientists hell bent on proving your crackpot dumbass ideas.

no it would be TIME not snow.
Have any of you thought that maybe it could be a photograph?
The Answer is No.....Because the question does not say "What Am I" or "Who Am I" But it says Can you solve this riddle? Most kindergarten students would probably say no because it is pretty much impossible while Harvard graduates would most likely try to find the actually answer to the riddle. This is just my opinion though feel free to disagree.

It means time... time makes polar bears white, since they become yellow during spring summer and early fall, time makes you have to pee cause you hold it so long, time makes girls brush their hair because they get older and more concious about their looks, we can squeeze time but we often lose grasp of it when it pops, if we look at time we die.
