actually polar bears are white because of the reflection from the snow and their surroundings - their skin is actually black and their fur is translucent - it has nothing to do with higher atmospheric pressure that produces less melanin.

I believe the answer is Pressure...

Polar Bears beaing white has something to do with the low pressure of the poles.

Too much pressure can make one cry

Pressure on a bladder will make someone have to pee

Peer pressure is why girls are so concerned with appearance, hence the hair brushing

If a celebrity cracks under pressure, it is all over magazines, tv, ect

But a regular person doing well under pressure makes them look good

Pressure from heat makes pancakes turn brown

Pressure from carbonation makes champagne bubble

if you squeeze something, the pressure will make it pop

To be "looking" at pressure, means you have to be in it... pressure makes ears pop

It's not God. That is the answer to a different riddle all together..... life

Did any of you guys look at the first page? I mean, this riddle was written off a nice little poem that was actually posted on the very first page of this forum, which answered it.

Time does turn polar bears brown, they are yellow in the summer and with the coming of winter they turn white. That's time bud.

Time does turn pancakes brown. Without time and heat all you have is flower and water, time is essential.

Time does make girls comb their hair. As they grow up they start to want to look pretty (for various reasons), so they comb their hair.

Time makes guys pee, because the longer they hold it the more they have to go.

It's funny how prejudices we gain as we grow older inhibit our ability to think critically. It's also funny how people don't pay attention to anything, the answer is very clear on the very first page.

As for the "God" answer, this riddle isn't about what is possible if a deity wills it to be so, it is about what IS and what IS TRUE at all times, so long as you look at it from a certain point of view. The god answer requires an act of God himself to be true, while the time answer is always true. Besides, if you were to squeeze God, you would more than likely be the one dieing, not God.

At least "I don't know" was farely clever, "God" doesn't fit 3/4 of it, and is a wussy, unthinking way out.

BTW, I almostgot the answer right, given another 10 minutes before I saw the poem and I'd probably have had it.
