Hi

I recently watched an interview in which the Indian speaker played with the expression 'in the swim'. He said.

I asked him to keep me in the swim but... (=keep me posted)

Does it sound natural/OK to your native ears?

Thanks,

Tom

Not in that meaning. To be in the swim (of things) is to be actively involved in current affairs. Your Indian misused it. It is not a very common expression here in the Middle Atlantic states.
